Should I forgive my boyfriend if he accidentily pushed me while he was drunk
The other night there was a group of people drinking, and my boyfriend got way to drunk. His friend said something to trigger him to get angry. He got in his friends face and started yelling at him. I grabbed his arm to try to stop him, he did not see me, and then pushed me to get me to let go and I went to the ground.

He of course apologized, and I told him that he has to take some actions to make a change if he wants me to stay with him. We are supposed to talk again tomorrow.

But, I'm questioning if I should give him the chance. He has had DUI's in the past, and I had really thought he had turned things around until these last few months when he has started drinking heavily again. I've been with him for a year. When he is not drinking, he is great. Never says anything mean to me or makes me feel bad. If he goes to therapy and support groups, is it worth it to wait it out a little while to see how things go?

If he wants to deal with his issues positively and overcome them great, but know there is no instant quick fix and the solution may take years to achieve. You may also catch hell and get hurt through the process. Only you know if the risk is worth it, but you should protect yourself at all times.

Be a good idea to educate yourself before you decide to even consider taking such a risk. Start with understanding alcoholism.

    You have been warned though!

Drunk or not, next time maybe it will not be accident, or next time, the DUI will be a wreck and you or him is hurt seriously ?

Long term, would you trust him to take your child out alone, if he started drinking?

Boyfriends are possible husbands, what type of life do you want long term?
