She wants space, what should I do?
My girlfriend and I have been going out for about a year and a half. We go to the same college so we see each other everyday and almost send the entire day together. About 2 weeks ago, she has been hanging out more and more with her friends. I feel that she is drifting away and I ask what is wrong. She assured me everything was fine and not to worry. 3 days ago, she tells me that she needed space. She says that she feels that she has neglected her friends over the course of our relationship and that she needs a break but not breakup. I told her that she should spend time with her friends but she should also spend time with me which she barely has in the past 2 weeks. She says she just needs to figure things out. She no longer texts me or calls, and it seems like she is ignoring/ avoiding me for the past 3 days. What should I do? Leave her alone? Confront her? Please help...

The best thing you can do now is to give her the time she needs, and back off start being with your own friends, and stop contacting her, next time you two speak it should be because she wants to talk with you.

OK but our anniversary is coming up in 2 days, what should I do? Should I only give her a call or should I leave her or should I give her my anniversary present?

I wouldn't give her anything more.

Breaks are a nice way of saying breakup. And the friends thing is a nice excuse. Don't buy it.

    I agree. Go NC.

That will put you in control of the situation. Never wait around for someone.
