    She says she needs time alone, but what does she mean.
    I have been with this girl for 6 years and we have a 4 year old son together. She broke up with me a month ago, she said she needs to be alone and she needs time to find her adult self. But what does that mean and why does she have to break up to do that. I know the past 4 months have been hectic and I wasn't being myself and I gave her reasons to leave me (ive had a month to look at myself and how I have been treating her lately) and I am working on myself to make me a better person not for her but for my son. She didn't give me a straight answer either, I asked her if she would be coming back and she said "i don't know, i just know if i do its not anytime soon" I am just really confused I don't know if she found someone else and she is draging me alone just in case it doesn't work, or is she testing me to see if I really love her. I have no idea she doesn't want to talk about the relationship, and I love her too much to let go. :confused:

    She is confused rite now, let her figure out what ever she needs to figure out. I don't know if you guys are still talking but I would not contact her let her contact you. May I ask why you weren't being yourself?

    Well I noticed her wanting to go out with her friends a lot about 5 months ago so I kind of got jealus, which I now know was a stupid thing to do. That and lately I have been coming home and not spending much time with my son (other reasons for that which I have taken care of) and not helping her out with stuff, I just wasn't feeling like myself I was getting depressed. I come home tired and she wants to go hang out with her friends and during that time I would freak out because I wasn't use to that. So I would give her guilt trips, which I shouldn't have but at that time I was scared. Ive learned a lot during this time about myself and my son, and I told her I would give her all the time she needs to figure things out. But what I am afraid of is during that time she will lose her love for me and not want to come back. So no contact, OK I will do that from now on (except for when she needs to pick up our son) lol which will be kind of hard I think.

    She needs space bro.. she probably has too much stuff on her mind.. maybe problems at work if she works or the kid... dont bug her about it trust.. give her space a girl loves a man that can accept the fact that she needs space.. let her be.. call her lke once a day only or less.. trust me bro... trust!

    Do to some serious back problems toward the end of my 5 year realationship with my ex fiancé and her son I also got depressed about my back and not spending a lot of time together with her probably do to her yelling at me. She has broken up with 5-6 times in the 5 yrs but this time I don't think she wants to get back do to 1 foot 1/2 in and 1 foot 1/2 out. Her percise words. So I would do NC with her It may work it worked 5-6 times with me.

    Well I've been there done that its been a month now, she doesn't want to hear any of that (trust me I tried everthing) only thing I can do is work on myself and my son. I just have no idea what's going to happen, I love her to death and it kills me everyday knowing that I had her in my life, and BAM its all over in 1 day. I have no idea what to do...

    She wants space so give it to her, and leave her alone except where it comes to your son. Focus on being a good father, and deal with her in a positive way for the son's sake. You are tied together by him, so he is the priority. No reason to be stuck though, make a life that makes you happy, without her in it. Good Luck!
