    Relationships battle
Iam 27 yr old and I am in love with a guy. Iam from India and am trying my best to convince my parents about him from past one year but they don't want to accept him since we belong to different caste. Recently my dad abused my boy friend on the street and after that my boyfriend wants me to leave my parents forever. In this battle I have lost everyone. Neither do my parents want me nor does my boyfriend. I am now losing myself too...

I am so sorry. When you don't make a choice between parents and the one you love, you can lose both. You have to make the choice, if it isn't too late. I am in the US so of course I side with going away with your boyfriend, but you say you have lost him? Have you or haven't you? He apparently thinks that after a year of trying to convince your parents and not succeeding, it's time to make a choice. He thinks that by staying at home at age 27, you have made your choice.

He hasn't left me but he doesn't want me to see my parents ever again. He wants me to forget my past completely and move with him and never look back.

And.. What is your decision? We can't make it for you. Most of the world (at least the ones online) will encourage you to go with him. I might even be older than your parents, 65, so it's not that. By not making a decision, you aren't just showing him that you don't love him enough, you are also making a decision by default, by inaction - staying with your parents. Which means either forever or having an arranged marriage, right?

My parents have no sons and they need me as they are getting old. I love him but my parents need me too. I am ready to move with him now but what if he doesn't change his attitude towards my parents even in the future? I tried talking to him but at the moment he doesn't understand and I tried to convince my parents too but they are damn too adamant!
I think I should just leave everyone and move to a place where I can be alone until I take a right decision. I think I should not let my parents or bfs thoughts influence me any further...
