They were also engaged 2 years ago than broke off.Anyway I heard he liked me a lot.So what should I do.It is just insane foir him to keep going back and forth with this woman but I also don't want to say anything. He needs
To see this for himself.. What should I do.. What do you think about a guy dating some girl for 10 years with this situation...

Well it sounds to me like he's not over this girl and consequently, not ready for a relationship with anyone else. He could date you for months before the issue of his ex becomes a problem but in my opinion, it's not a matter of IF it becomes a problem, it's a matter of WHEN.

Evidently, she isn't much of a good catch, if they keep splitting up and she keeps on leaving and coming back. However, it takes two to tango, and to be honest, if he keeps taking her back, he doesn't seem to be much of a good catch either. This isn't really saying a whole lot positive about either of them. I am afraid that you would be putting yourself in harms way, and just imagine, every day you will be wondering, when she is going to knock on your door, or when are you going to come home to find this woman sleeping in your bed. If you are going to even consider it, you need to find out a little bit more about this guy and why he has been in such a situation for so long. Do your research, or prepare yourself to potentially be back on here wondering how to get over him.

I would stay well out off it you will be the only one getting hurt in the end. If they have been dating for ten years why would they stop now.if she always ends up coming back she knows that he will take her back. Why would it be different this time

I think it would be very foolish, to even think about getting involved with a guy in this situation.

You said it yourself, they have an on again off again relationship. History often repeats itself, it's not a matter of if they'll get back together, it's a matter of when. Do you really want to invest yourself in a man that will never be with you 100%?

How long have been they separated? Most people are having a hard time to get out of a very long relationship so they just stay. Some consider it "I had enough" and just don't want to look back. It depends.

In this case you have take things slooooooooowly and let him do ALL his moves, come after you so you'll REALLY know he's really interested and has totally moved on.

I understand that you might really like this guy, and heck, he might even like you as well, but getting with this guy is simply a recipe for disaster.
