    Questions About The Friend Zone.
Hey guys, I'm currently going into grade 11, and there is this girl that I am really interested in. Back in grade 9, I was a loner but I guess you could say there was this group of about 5 girls that "took me in". Now the thing is, me and this group of girls have been friends (REALLY good friends, like I can't emphasize that enough) for this period. Would it still be acceptable to ask one of them out? I am extremely shy and the thought of rejection literally makes me want to find some dark corner of the world and stay there forever. I also fear that if she does say no, I'm basically going to be looked at differently for the rest of high school, which is not an appealing aspect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers!

You have a confidence problem my friend and if you are afraid to take a risk then you will never know how to handle rejection. Ask her out and if she says no,you act as if nothing has happened, because it hasn't.

Maybe things will change within your group, and that's something you will have to deal with as it does happen. Maybe it's that group you have come to depend on for friends and a social life, so you feel accepted. That enough to be afraid of taking a chance, but at some point the group will change any way in a year or so as everyone pursues their own interests.

What's more important? To be a part of a group, or risk rejection by a member of the group? I really don't know enough about this group situation to advise you, but its generally a bad bet to date within a group because you never know how the group will be affected. Especially when young relationships don't work.Thats another risk.

Do any of the girls have boyfriends? If not, steer clear.
