    Not ready? Oh hm
I've know a girl through family friends for years, and 3 years ago we started seeing each other for a few weeks up until I left the city for another job, when things just ended. She started seeing someone else and so we didn't really talk since she was with someone.

Just recently she came and spent a weekend with me and things were great. It's almost as if we never stopped talking/hanging, and we had a fantastic weekend together. We talked about us throughout the weekend and relationships. It came down to her admitting she does like me, and I do like her, but she's not ready for a relationship. She knows if we dated it would be it, but she wants time to understand who she is etc. Genuinely I can see how 3 years cooped up and now she is single and enjoying that life style, no strings, free to do whatever. I also told her that I feel like we will never 'meet' at the point, because when she's 'done' with her being single life, we will miss crossing paths, because either she will be with someone, or I will be someone, like how the past has shown. We are both very busy and with the dstance of 2 hours it's hard to hang. I asked her maybe once a month we should try to get together, and she said then that would be like dating, which is not what she wants righ tnow. The thing is when we were together, it was a date, and she acted like a girlfriend.

Any advise anyone can give? Keep trying to get her to hang or whatevre, or just drop it and see if she comes around in a few?

It was a fling, a happening, and maybe it happens again, maybe it doesn't. No big deal, and that's all there is because that's what she says.

I sure wouldn't chase her very hard. Not at all!!

But when people say they aren't ready, the things I've read on here make me think that means she's ready, but not with you. At the same time when you try to believe the person, it contradicts that statement.
