I love my friend. We knew each other from 5 years. At first he said he loved me. But I didn't have any feelings for him for being in a relationship. So I just avoided the topic. We were not in contact for nearly a year. Then again we got in contact. He again said that he still loves me and asked me for being in a relationship with him. I said, yes I love him. But after that he told me that he drink’s, smokes and that he is not a perfect partner for me.

But then still we used to talk daily for hours. I told him that I don’t need any perfect partner, I just need him. But he still says the same thing. I can’t think of anything except him. I need him in my life but now he is avoiding me. I really miss him. When he is drunk he says that he only loves me. But when sober he says that it was just an attraction. I don’t know what to do? I know that whenever he is drunk he opens up his secrets and when next day I ask him about all that he says yes it is true. But when I say him that he said he loves me. He says no he don’t, it was just an attraction. So my question is do drunk people speak truth?

Nobody believes a drunk, not even another drunk. You shouldn't even try talking to a drunk.

Yes I guess you are right... how can I believe a drunker... who says something when drunk and denies it the next day... anyway he is totally avoiding me.. so there's no reason that we will speak again... I even asked him the reason for avoiding me and he says that he is not avoiding me... does he think, I am a fool...

No girl you are not a fool you are just in love with a man that can't be trust his own feeling about you . More then likely he is in love with you but he is scared that if he listening to his heart and not his head that you will change your mind about him. Because he is not perfect but there is no one that is perfect we all have our false . But I have hear all of my life if you love someone set them free and if they love you they will come back to you . I know that is hard to do because it is so hard to set someone you love free .

That's what is my answer... no one in the world is perfect... we all have some faults.. but if he can't understand my love for him.. then I don't think I can do anything except of waiting for him... I don't know whether he will realize my love or not... :(
