    Just saw ex girlfriend
I just went to the going away party of my ex girlfriend's best friend. We were together for 2 years when she decided that she wanted a break. That was 7 months ago and now I miss her a heap. She is so beautiful but I just can't seem to flirt with her, even though I have no trouble flirting with other girls. I would dearly love to get her back but don't know what to do. It's like I have to start from square one again. Any advice on how to get her back would be very helpful thanks.

    Ex girlfriend
    Hi,
7 months has gone by and your ex girlfriend hasn't wanted to get back with you. It took me a year to get over a girl when I was about 20 yrs old or so.
You do care about your ex, and I don't know any way to get her back, if she doesn't love you any more.
Being in love is really "tough", when the person you are in love with doesn't love you. The only suggestion I can give is to NOT be around her, don't go where she will be.
Only time will help you get over this, and meeting new girls, talking with them.
I do wish you good luck. There is a girl out there for you, and eventually, you will find her.

Seriously - if she did not show any sign that she wanted you back then there is no point trying to get her back, The fact that you can flirt with other girls and not her is obviously telling you something in itself - it's telling you there is nothing there between the two of you anymore. The spark that once was, has died. You are clinging onto the past - you need to close the door to the past and open the door to the furture. You cannot go backwards - only forwards.

    Love
Over the years you will always have the love of the memories of good relationships. You will also always wonder "what if"

But the plain truth is there were some problems that broke you guys up and a person needs to move on. Seeing a old love will bring up a lot of good memories , we often forget the bad and foster a form of attraction based on hope rather than fact.

I would say if you can't flirt with someone you used to date, you mind truly knows better.

Find someone new, go on with life and always have fond memories.

Or of course stop flirting and merely talk to her, and tell her how you feel.
You will either be accepted or rejected but beating around the bush will never get you anywhere.

You need to let go and move on. Hold on to the fond memories you have but let go of the false hope you gripped!! - you will drive yourself mad otherwise (been there myself before)
