Hey all, Thanks to everyone who responded to my earlier posts... just thought I'd give an update. After just about 5 years together, and one beautiful daughter, our relationship is now over. She got mad over something I don't even know about early last week, and told me she wanted a break. Yesterday I finally made her talk to me (we're living together and she's been avoiding me) she started crying and told me she was avoiding me because she didn't want to tell me that she didn't want to be with me. She told me that she has not been happy being with me for the last year. (twist the knife a little more ) So, there we go... now its over:( My stomach has been turning so bad the last two days I think I could puke... I jumped right into this relationship from a previous one, I haven't really been single in almost 9 years. I don't even know where to begin to look for someone else. I don't think anyone else can replace her. I'm still in love with her... what do I do

I'd say take a deep breath and get out of the house. Go for a long walk round the block to try and clear you head for a bit.

I feel your pain on this one.

If it genuinely is over and you cannot work out your differences with your lover - i.e why is she unhappy? Did she say? - then you've some decisions about where you live, and what happens to your daughter. Horrible to think about, and that's probably why your stomach is in knots.

Can you tell us if your woman said anything else - anymore details?

Obviously,this "unhappiness" from your partner has been there for quite a while,now.
Were you not able to read any of the signs??

It's sad that you never realised this until you lost her :(... and it's going to take a

I know I made a mistake jumping into the relationship... but obviously there is nothing I can do about that now, other than learn and not do it again. There were definitely signs that she was not happy... but I guess I just didn't pay attention to them, again... my fault. I found out this weekend, that she has been with someone else, for how long I don't know, but I guess that answers my question on if we will get back together or not. The only thing she will tell me about why she left, is that she wasn't happy being with me anymore, she wouldn't say what made her unhappy... I've decided that I'm going to fight for custody of our daughter.

Goodluck with the custody battle! I am glad you are realizing it is over and you do need to move on

Sorry for your loss, but staying in your daughters life is a good move.
