    I'm speechless.
I've been talking with this girl over IMs for a few years now. We've just been chatting as friends and talking about life and such. Recently she broke up with a boyfriend and found a new one in the course of about 2 weeks. She's been sad and regretting and happy and not regretting and all the ups and downs. I've been helping her through it this whole time and she just came out and said she really like likes me ((Her words not mine)). We're on other sides of the country but I'm going down there for Navy training in September. I don't see her in any romantic light. How do I tell her without breaking her heart?

Just be honest and upfront with her and tell her that you value her friendship and don't want to interfere with that. But no matter how you word it she is still going be hurt because he wants more and some people don't like to be rejected or know how to deal with it.

I think this is going to be easier then you think. She just likes you at the moment because you are listening to her, which nobody else is doing. I think she sees you as more of a friend.

Don't worry about things that haven't happened. The solution will come to you, and you will handle it just fine.
