A month ago my girlfriend broke up with me for the second time. Her reason was that something changed inside her. She said she really doesn't know what has changed, if she knew she would have told me. She also said that she is confused and she doesn't know what she wants from her life. She is 26 and I am 30.

I can see it in her eyes that she means what she is telling me. We were together for 3 months , then we broke up for 4 months - but we were still talking and going out - (her reason for the first break up was that she wanted time to see if she is happy in the relationship) and then we were together for another 4 months. The first two months of the second time were absolutely amazing. We were having fun all the time, going out and I was extremely happy. And then something really changed from one day to another. She was distant, we were not spending much time together and generally I could see a different person.

I knew that we were going to break up again so I prepared myself for that. The day that she said "I made my mind and we need to talk" I felt stronger than ever. She said you deserve someone better than me and I agreed with her. I gave all my power to this relationship and I got very little in return. She never said I love you, or I like you or anything... The best thing she ever told me was one night after we had sex that she said "You make me feel wonderful"...

The day we broke up was the first time I saw her crying. I asked her why she is crying and she said that I gave her everything, she was seeing that I treated her like a princess and she doesn't know why she is acting like that. I told her that all I want for her is to be happy and smile...

During this month, I see her 4-5 times a week because we share some activities. She is nice to me and I am nice to her. We had a couple of talks about our relationship that ended in either kissing or crying. I saw her crying two more times and when I asked her why she said because she knows she hurt me.

Our common activities end next week and then I will not have a reason to see her during the summer. I want to try NC to see her reaction even though I know she will call and maybe ask to go out. She says that she enjoys my company.

During this year NC is the only thing I never tried. I was always there for her and she very well knew that. My female friends who know her say that we will be back together in time but I have to be "absent" in order to make her understand what she is losing.

I really love her, but I don't want to be with her if first she doesn't discover what she wants. Is there a way to help her or leaving her alone is the best thing I will do ?

Leaving her alone to find what she wants in life is the best way to go about this.
