How do I know if I'm over it?
Are there any guidelines out there as to what signs to look for in terms of recovering from a long relationship? Just got out an almost 2.5 year relationship 2 weeks ago, and I was wondering if people here could tell me how they knew when they were ready for another relationship. I don't want to rebound, because that'll only hurt me more and hurt the other person who doesn't deserve it.

You will know when your ready... I just got out of a 3 yr relationship with the mother of my child 4 months ago and I won't be ready for a long time. It is all personal preference.

It will be clear as a sunny day when you are. You'll stop thinking about them. You'll stop wondering where they are. You are more involved with your own life. You will sincerely wish them the best. You will have no anger or longing left. You will wake up look up at the sky one day and say what a great day. It's as certain as the sunrise.
