How do I keep my girlfdriend if she wants to break up?
    Hi,

I've been dating this girl for 2months now. We seem to get along quite well, thou we do have the occasional argument... but nothing serious!

I'm an extrovert, and she's very introvert... which seems to clash, but we get along, also I'm very affectionate, want to hold, kiss, hug her... not overpower with attention, or be clingy.. but a healthy amount of affection is what I want and need! She on the other hand, doesn't like getting intimate... she says she doesn't like sex?

I mean really, who doesn't like sex? Does she really not like it? Or doesn't she like it because of me?! I know that not all girls are the same, but she's just really hard to figure out!

So last night we went out, she got totally pissed(drunk) and I also had a few drinks with my mates in the club... we started fighting, because she was drunk, and it's a real bad image to portray in front of my friends! - I mean if you're drunk and you can keep your pose, that's fine, but if you're half passed out on a chair, now that's different!

So I leave the club after she shouted and swore at me, and decided to go home, and arranged with one of my friends to take her home.. on my way home I got into an accident, as I was speeding and very angry!

So she phones me at that instant and I tell her what had happened, she arrives oint the scene, after my mates came to help me... and she starts laughing when she saw my car! I then asked her to please leave... as she wasn't making it any better right now! - we got into another argument, after which she startes shouting, and swearing at me... and threatening me, I always stay calm in situations like that, and heard her out... but after about 15 minutes and my mates standing around listening to everything... I "flipped" - and told her she's a slut, and walked away, got into my mates car and drove off! - she then phones me, and tells me, how she will kiss other guys in front of me, and sleep wit as many as she can, to show me what a real slut is! I the and apologised for my foul behaviour!

Now, I've tried phoning her several times, and I've smsed her to apologise and asked her to please talk to me. But she keeps on ignoring me... all my friends(men and women) tell me to dump her, but for some reason I'm absolutely crazy about her! - I've even told her that I love her, after which she replied and only said "thank you"

I guess what I'm really trying to say is... do I break up with her? Am I wrong? Why can't I leave her? - why does she trwat me so bad, when there's about a thousand girls that would take me anyday, and everybody tells me I'm a gentlemen... why does she walk over me?!

I'm really confused, and there's just too many people with different advice... so please tell me how to handle this situation... and how to keep her as my girl, of on the other hand it turns out to be a break up... how do I go about it, without hurtig myself or her?!

    Kind regards,

    Dwen-Hein

Be done with her. You will be wrong if you keep trying to work with her. Let her go. You deserve better. The wave is a fun ride until there is no wave. You say, "I'm done being with you". No BS, no I'm sorry's from her, no believing if she says, "I'll change, baby". NOTHING. Be done with it.

Not hurting her that's your first problem. Learn about women they need to feel hurt, no wonder she's walking all over you. Someone in the relationship hads to be feeling the hurt make it her. Make her miss you stop getting angry who cares . Don't call her any names, be less available!!

If you want to keep her you must change your whole approach here have a new attitude. Do exactly the opposite to what you have been doing, you sound like a jealous wuss. Become the jerk who doesn't care she will love this. You probably won't listen but get some balls and don't worry what she's up to let her chase you if she wants to see you say your busy hell its only been 2 months...

Yeah it sounds kind of like what I'm going through with all of the senseless arguing. Let me guess when you guys are together alone its great. But when you are out that's when you are fighting. I won't touch the alcohol thing because I hate it when people judge me about that. All ill say is it sounds as if you two could use a break it would be wise you initiate the break to show her you are not happy. She will come running back.

After that last drunken incident, I wouldn't say anything to her for a long a$$ time. You both behaved badly and if you bring out the worst in each other (after drinking) I would reevaluate the drinking, and the relationship.

She wants a break [ 19 Answers ]

Ok so, I've read a few "taking a break" threads and things seem to come to the same consensus of "just give her her space." The thing is, each case is different obviously. My case is: I'm 20, she's 18. We've been going out for 1 month (short time, I know, but it feels like a lifetime). I met...
