My hobby and what it did for my relationship :)
Hey so here is a little story not entirely to do with relationships but I think it shows who you can meet through just one hobby!
Ive been doing Badminton (racket sport) since the age of 8 (now 21). At 16 I met a good friend of mine 2 years younger. However I didn't speak to him for two years until we gradually got chatting.
I became friends with him and we chatted every Friday night during badminton. Eventually he invited me out to one of his parties - to buy him and his friends drink.
Over the next few months I went to more and more of his parties. I became friends with his friends and through their friends I met more people. Eventually through these people I met my EX GF - someone I would never expected to like me. I am also still great friends and have been on many holidays with these people.
The point being is: Through ONE of my hobbies I met a person who introduced me to all my good friends now and through them my EX GF. So get yourself out there and meet people! Try new hobbies because you never know what benefits you might gain! Maybe even your next partner. The more people you know the better and never put down an invitation!

Dear Jiser,
I do agree with you that it is best to get out and meet people who have a similar interest as you. Never know who you will meet and what will happen as a result of that meeting. Need to just get out and meet people rather then being a victim of your own denial of taking the "bull by the horns" in order to get on with your life.

It is often said on this help desk, to people who say there is never anything for them to do, to take up a hobby. You never know who you will meet, the physical and mental health benefits, plus just the sheer fun of it all. Badminton is a blast and not that expensive.
Thank you for posting your experiences.
