Ex girlfriend wants to get together after 3 months
So it has been three months since my ex and I have broken up.

We have had no contact and I received a text a few days go from her telling me congrats on getting my first full time job.

I texted her back a couple days later and we got into a conversation back and forth for a bit and then I had to get going and I said we should grab lunch or get coffee some time soon.
She said she would really like that.

I guess I am confused why she is all of sudden wants to contact me and get together... Should I give her the time of day or just be done? Just seems weird to me for her to be contacting me all of a sudden.

Not weird, unexpected, but not weird.

I said we should grab lunch or get coffee some time soon. She said she would really like that.
LOL, I couldn't help but notice the title, and the fact it was you that offered. Leave this at polite banter and continue to leave her alone. Doesn't matter what she would like, don't reopen that can of worms. Don't get excited over this weird unexpected event.

Maybe she heard you were dating, is that possible? Maybe she is wanting you back, but in the friend zone? Who can know what's on a female mind?

Leave ex's in the past going back and forth only causes problems. You can attempt to be friends if its what you both want. From what you wrote it sounds like wishful thinking on your part. If she wanted you back I'm sure she would have said more. And she probably only agreed to coffee or lunch cause you mentioned it. Just a thought, I mean you know her better (maybe). Just be cool and don't read too much into it

Hahaha... female mind is pointless to try to figure what is going on up there... I ain't getty over it.. just kind of like surprised like something out of left field. I have been dating and I know she found out. A friend of mine (whose wife hangs out with her)said she is really struggling with everything and me dating. I am not planning on anything besides taking myself out for a solid lunch.

Go on the encounter YOU setup, she might just be doing it not to be rude, or maybe she is intriged at how you are doing. Regardless of why, just do it, and then forget it. She is an ex, and an ex is an ex for a reason, so after this encounter leave her alone and keep going your separate way as you have done this far.

To be honest... I could have cared less if she said yes or no to lunch.. I was trying to end the conversation in a polite way... anyway... I do not care what she thinks of me for dating but why would she care I am dating or be interested. Just seems weird how when things turn around in my life (full time job, get over here, dating other girls, loving life)she comes back in all of a sudden, I do not get it. Not too mention she had been dating people two weeks after we broke up. Haha... All I know is I am in a good place with me right now and that is all the matters.
