    Does true love exist anymore?
So I'm 18, in love ( I think ) but have no faith in my relationship. I have had many relationships before. But this guy I'm with is different. He's respectful, caring, trustworthy, funny but like any human being has his flaws.

Basically my problem is I like to think we will be together in the future however this genereation is full of failed marraiges and relationships. I feel like true love really doesn't exist, people get bored, find interest In someone else, lose their feelings for someone, drift apart, get cheated on, move cities . I guess I want to know whether there is a way to keep someone in your life and avoid the above.

This is a difficult one. There is so much I could say but I will keep it short.

Having a relationship and falling in love means taking a huge risk. You either end up spending the rest of your life with this person, or end up heartbroken. Our generation today is very divided, some have morals, and others do not. I personally feel that if a person has strong morals they will be able to keep a good relationship, thus if a couple are both in love and share common morals, they will maintain a healthy, life-long relationship.

From recent experience I have concluded that mutual attraction and interests is not enough to maintain a strong and healthy relationship. Both parties need to know what they want from the relationship, and they need to know their individual morals.

Love does indeed exists, but it comes with a price of risk, and hard work. The best I can tell you is enjoy the one you are with, and take it one day at a time, and not get lost looking ahead to far into the future, and wishing, and hoping.

Life and reality is like the weather, subject to change very fast. How you deal with it is all you can control. You cannot control the weather, or the thoughts, actions, and feelings of a partner, but you can deal with your own thoughts, actions, and FEELINGS in a cool, calm, collected way to keep control over YOURSELF!

Now go and enjoy your day.
