We talked on and off for a year, and then went out for 5 months. When we broke up we left off on bad terms, and he could really never get over what happened. Now he wants to talk things out and be friends with me again. For the first time yesterday he said hi to me in public, and it was nice to know that he was there again. His family and I are still friends, but he hates that. His parents think he is an idiot for breaking up with me, and he said "i never said whether i regret it or not". I'm so confused, should I give him a chance and go for it again, or should I just be friends with him, after everything that has happened, although the past is the past.:confused:

This is every man's dream-come-true; parents who confide in "the girl friend." I guess you've become his third parent; mother, father and mother Jr.

He's probably at an age where the jump to adulthood and independent thought is within grasp and burning of some old bridges might be important.

For whatever reason there was a breakup. Why?
