    Does age mather?
    I need your advice people... I liked this boy but I'm older than him 9 months.. isn't it kind'a weird..? I'm just asking.. cause we liked each other, I'm just scared because what if he founds out that I'm older than him.. his going to stay away from me or something...

    How many years old are you? How many years old is he? If the numbers match, you have a non-problem.

    Besides, once you hit 29, he'll catch up and probably surpass you.

    Yes, what are the ages here? 15 and 16? 23 and 24? 30 and 31?

    Nine months age difference is not a major difference. Girls do emotionally mature earlier than guys but as Scleros stated, in time he will catch up. If you tell him you are nine months older and he freaks out, then you know to leave this guy alone.

    Age is not a big deal in a relationship. There are many couple that whom I knew well around me are having their wife or girlfriend older than them. Some men feels more comfortable having older girlfriend or wife. Yes as shygrneyzs says that girl do emotionally mature earlier than guys. But in most case, if a man like a woman and they falling in love then age is not the big deal anymore. So now it is up to you to make the move... to tell him the truth about how old you are or no. If he accept the fact that you are older than him, then move on to the next stage. If he can not accept it and refuse you then leave. There are plenty of fish in the water.

    No age makes little difference, one girl in my high school years that was so special to me was 2 years older than me.

    My current wife is 10 years younger.

    If you and he have no problem with it, I see no real problem

    There is a perception that the guy has to be older than the girl. Don't worry about that! It is rubbish. And 9 months is nothing anyway.

    I would like to know how old you are though?

    I'm just kidding. What's 9 months if you the two of you get along and are good to each other. I used to date a woman that was 12 years older than me and it didn't matter to me at all. In fact I was kind of proud of it. If you're a good woman he'll be proud of you too.

    Age matters if you are worried about it, both of you that is. If you are both happy it doesn't matter. I am guessing you are quite young, for nine months to be an issue, it gets less important as you get older. My partner is 7 years older than me, but we are 28 and 35! No one has ever commented on it at all! 9 months is very little, but I guess if you are in different class years at school, it could be an issue for you. Don't let other people tell you it is wrong though, if you are both fine with it, that's all that matters.
