    College boyfriend
My boyfriend of one and a half years and I broke up right before coming to college. Though he did go out on a date or two with a girl from back home, he has not gone out with anyone for five months. Now, here's the glitch--we both go to the same college.
Originally, I was going to go to school seven hours away and we were going to try and keep in touch, but agreed to see other people. That's proving to be more difficult when we see each other all the time, especially through hanging out with mutual friends. We talk a lot and I trust him, and we've discussed getting back together again, but I'm not sure.
Should we stay apart even though neither of us is very happy with the situation and try and meet new people?
Should we get back together again and foster a serious relationship?
Should we get back together again but keep our eyes out for prospects and agree to act on them if we see them?
Any advice would help a lot. Thanks in advance!

    Never Settle
Sounds to me that you are not in love with this person at your college, but rather fear of being alone. You mentioned that your boyfriend has gone out on a date with a girl or two from back home, but you did not mention your own situation. Time heals all wounds, but time always gives space to re-evaluate the situation. For in the decision on a serious relationship, one should never settle. Be patient and find the one that means everything to you and you mean everything to him. Love takes two, for with only one in-love is like fading rose that in time will be left with only the stem. By now, the two of you should know if you had the special connect that could last a life time. The two of your broke up for a reason, so what is this reason. Not the typical distance excuse,, for love will find a way. You are still in college, then what is the rush. I truly believe that in you heart, you know the answer. You know what you should do, and would like to do, so go for it. Whatever the answer is that you seek,, that you are seeking reassurance on, then follow your heart. What ever you decide, I wish you the best!!
