I'd say he doesn't respect you. Are you intelligent? Confident? Insecure?

If you said no to the first 2 or yes to the last one, then that could be a big reason why.

Or he's just shy. What are the ages we're dealing with here? If he's 16, then shyness could be a reaon. If he's 40, then it's respect in my opinion.

Some people are uncomfortable with eye to eye contact. Sound to me like he's shy. Try not to see too much into it. If he listens to you, fine. If he just stands there till you are done talking and goes off and does something completely different then I would rethink the relationship.

It sounds to me like he could be really shy. I have that same problem when I'm with someone that I really like or care for. I have trouble making eye contact, and just get really quiet... If I have a few drinks however it's a different story, so yeah, I'm willing to bet that it's a shyness thing with him.
