It's pretty long. Please bear with me. I know its a lot to handle but it would really mean the world to me to have your advice.

My best friend.. Taran, and I have been best friends for almost 3 years now. Well I, about five months ago, met a guy.. a really great guy. His name is Garrett. We fell in love fairly quickly and havea wonderful relationship together. My best friend and I have never had much luck in the boyfriend department. She didn't ever have many boyfriends.. which I don't understand because she is gorgeous. I, on the other hand have had lots.. all terrible idiots and s.. Until Garrett.. well since Garrett and I have been dating Taran has been very short with me. She makes mean comments in relation to my relationship and is never happy for me. The crazy thing? SHE'S THE ONE WHO SET GARRETT AND ME UP! Our other couple friends though she always goes on and on about how happy she is for them and how cute they are blah blah blah... well I just don't think its very fair. She, of all people, should be the happiest for me. Happy that I'm happy. But she isn't. She is hateful and mean about the whole situation and it really hurts my feelings. I can't tell you how many times I've cried over this. I just don't know what to do. You see I've had a ton of best friends in my life. I spent the majority of my childhood in foster care and constantly moving around. I don't want to switch best friends again. I was convinced from the moment I met taran that we'd be best friends forever. I just don't know how to handle this. I assume she's jealous of garrett and I but I don't know why else she would be so hateful about it all. I don't know if I should talk to her about it and risk losing her (which would break my heart. I love that girl to death) and if I didn't loose her I would definitely hurt her feelings and I don't want to do that.. even though she's hurt mine. Or just not say anything and deal with it... the problem would persist. I'd still cry a lot. And it would never be solved. But I would also not have to worry about losing her or hurting her feelings. I really need help. Thanks so much. I know this is a lot to take in. please help me.

Maybe your friend feels a little jealous about u and Garrett. U should talk to her about it maybe hangout and have some girl time.

She might be afraid she is losing you and doesn't know how to handle it. It's not fair for her to be mean to you, but you should let her know you still care about her and want to be around her. Ask her to hang out and keep the conversation away from Garrett. I hope everything works out.
