    I need assistance! Tips?
I dated this guy for about 4 months and he kept on saying he loved and that he was in love with me. People said we were perfect because we didn't ever have awkward silences. We broke up on our 4 month anniversary. I never got over him but he started dating this girl, one of my friends. After 7 months they broke up. I still like him. Any tips?

Hmm you were a perfect couple because you didn't have awkward silences. Is that all? What were your reasons for breaking up?

    "love" in only 4 months?

He had no trouble moving on with your friend?

    Sounds like a keeper.

Well we were "perfect" because people said like everything we did was basically what was supposed to happen. And we broke up because all of his friends started telling me he was talking badly behind my back and so I dumped him. About 2 weeks after I dumped him, his friends told me they were saying that so I dumped him because one of the girls wanted to date him.

So have you learned not too listen to friends? Also it hard to believe you both where in love after 4 months, and it couldn't have been to perfect, since he found someone else. If it where love, your friends couldn't break you up with lies. Your friends are liars, and your ex is gone. That's your reality, and my advice is get more honest friends, and date someone else. Even if you could explain what happened, why would he go back with someone who believes her friends, over him? Sorry for your loss, but hope you learned from this.

I would forget about him. AFTER he grows up and decides what he really wants MAYBE he will come back to you... otherwise don't waste your time!

Who did the breaking up and why? 4 months isn't a very long time in the grand scheme of things. Just because the two of you have good conversation skills doesn't mean, in and of itself, that you're compatible. You don't want him using you as just a rebound. My advice is to stay away and forget about it.

When you have good and hounest friends it is good to listen to them, because they do care about you and they don't want to see you get hurt. Unfortunaly it seems like your friends aren't like that, Might want to consider finding some new ones...

Tip #1 Never use the three words "I love you" (when dating) too freely and don't trust those who use it too freely. Some may believe in love at first sight but love is something that you grow into with time. Four months, no matter how much you talked is not enough time to truly know a person or know that you really love them.
Tip #2 Two's company 3 or more is a crowd. Keep other people out of your relationships.
    Tip #3 Communicate, communicate, communicate!
Tip #4 I can't think of anymore right off hand so go where George said.:o
