    Am I too insecure?
    Hi, I moved to the USA from South Africa a year ago, I have met a guy and we are engaged and we live together, I work with him and spend all our time together. He goes to school everyday and I resent him for that, I have no friends here and I have no life apart from him, I feel I am too dependent on him. I get insecure and jealous if he goes out without me or if he has boys nights because I have no one to hang out with when he does those things.. What should I do? I love him and can't wait to marry him but I don't want to feel so clingy and like an emotional burden to him. We have been together for a year on July 16, 2008..
    Please help...

    You kind of answer your own question savanna. You can't be dependent on anyone, or on anything. If this guy is the only focus of your life then what will he get from you? What do you bring to the relationship if you have nothing but him?

    Get out there, join some clubs, meet some people. You're in the USA! Explore it!

    You have issues you need to deal with before you get married. First of all a year is not that long a time to know someone, let alone get married, and the worse part of it is you have no life of your own, and are dependent on him to make you happy. Not a recipe for love, success, or happiness in my eyes.
