    Seeking vacant home owner
    There is a vacant home in my neighborhood and I am interested in purchasing it, but I need to find out how to find out who owns it, if anyone knows how to go about finding this info out, help! :)

    Go to the county court house and check with the recorder of deeds They will show who the recorded owner is. Go to the county tax office and see who is being sent the yearly tax notices. This will also show if there is unpaid taxes on house.

    Do you mean the clerk of circuit court or tax collectors office?

    Each county and/or state may call it by varoius names, in most states there is a "recorder of deeds" they have their own office in the county buildings.

    And the county property tax office.

    If your state calls them by different name, go to county court house and just ask where they file the deeds and where they pay the property tax.
