    There is nothing in the deed saying there is any kind of fees but I keep receiving papers saying that there is association fees due.

    Call and ask the party that keeps sending you the papers. Ask for whatever agreement about dues there is IN WRITING.

    Is this a condo? Did you buy a condo and not realize there are association dues?

    Hmm - yes, I would contact whatever entity is sending the bills and ask what the bills are for, including time and services. Sounds like someone trying to make a dollar.
