    Ending residential lease
I am in a 2 year lease of an apartment that I can no longer afford due to decreased income. I need to move to a more affordable place but have 10 months to go. If this is important, the landlord changed the lease by charging a water bill with a predetermined amount for each apt size regardless of occupany or amenities such as washer and dryer. This is in Pinellas County, FL. What are the legal ways for me to end this lease?

You can negotiate an early buy out. How did the original lease address the water bill and exactly what is the change?

You can always argue that the landlord broke contract but I don't know if you will win - a lot depends on when the change occurs and if you went along with it until you couldn't afford to pay rent.
