    Tenant Landlord NY law
I live in NY apt for 27 years, advised landlord I might be moving out in 2 months due to a strong business possibility in another State.
He advised me to sign 1 more year lease in case bsnss doesn't go through and added a clause
I can break the lease with a 30 days prior written notice to him, I signed the lease.
I have not given the 30 days written notice yet because I don't have another place to live in the other state yet and will do accordingly.
However, I have been receiving phone calls from strangers to see my apt. for rent; they come and knock on my door, ring my bell, etc.

Is this correct? Shouldn't a landlord wait till I move out to show the apt.

    Thank you

Depends on what's in the lease. Most leases have a clause that permits showing the apt. If the landlord had to wait until you move out, then the apt would be vacant for a longer period, losing him money.
