    Quick claim deed
    Does your name come off the mortgage if you sign the deed over to the other person who's name is also on the mortgage

    No, you are still liable to pay on the mortgage. The other party will have to go out and get a new loan and pay off the old loan to get your name off it.

    Once you sign over the deed, you still owe the money on the mortgage just have no claim to the home.
