    Inherited Property Dispute
My Uncle and I jointly own a property in California that was inherited from my Grandmother in September of last year. He has made no effort to sell the property and settle the trust. The last time I visited the property which was in May of this year, it had appeared that he had let the property go and now in order to sell the property, quite a lot of work will have to be done. He is currently living in the home rent free (the home was paid for in cash in 1999). I talked with him 2 months ago essentially telling him to sell is ASAP. Now he is not returning my calls and has not done so since the last time I talked with him. My question is, is there anything I can do to force him to settle the trust? I am concerned since he is the executor and lives in the house currently. Can I sue him?

Is the house owned by a trust or an estate? You refer to a trust.

You will have to go though the courts to make them sell if they are part owners ( already out of probate)

If it is still in probate, you need to get your atttorney to get it moving along.
