    Eviction with an infant
What is the law in ga for evicting someone with an infant that got laid off and has nowhere to go. We have no contract no rent. It was just to help get on our feet. Now she wants us out and is verry hostile. I just got laid off my wife is working and in school so I play mister mom while we save up. We want out but don't have much saved (3 childern). We just need more time and I know that the evection process can be drawn out. My wife doesent make much. I can't work. I don't know what to do

They will give you a formal notice. ( sorry not up on the waiting period to file in court for GA) then they file in court, and you are served. There is a hearing and you get formal notice to move, they send a officer out to watch them move your stuff to the curb.

So having an infant does not mean anything, paying the rent means everything.

She said that we did not have to pay any rent or do any thing in place off. She said it was to help us get on our feet.

You are still living in a month to month rental basis, with no rent due, but they can still ask you to leave with a 30 day notice.

Who ever is managing it ( gave you permission to live there) can give you notice.

If the trustee would say you can stay, then you could stay, but I would get it in writing.

OK thank you. I should have asked him even though my mother said it was OK.
