Estranged cosigners on deed and mortgages
Hi I am trying to remove my daughter and her new husband from our deed and mortgages. They refuse to repley to our request to sign off and also will not reply to our calls and mail. We are not sure where they are living anymore and do not have the resources to locate them. We contacted an attornt and it would cost at least 5000.00 to get him to do anything. Is there anyway of removing them or at least sueing them for not paying or something like that? If anyone has any advice that is legal I would like to see it. This is as brief a discription I can think of at this time. Thanks Dan:(

    Hello Daniel

Even if you found them, the mortgage company won't let you remove them. The only way to get them off is to refinance, and you're going to have a hard time doing that without them.

I don't know what else to do, other than hire an attorney.
