Crazy, harassing flatmate has asked for my sister to move out right away!
    Hi
Im an asking on behal of my little sister...

She recently (3 months ago) moved into a rented property with her friends aunt and children.

My sister is a very independent person and has been having problems with her flatmate.

They all paid a bond for the rental and the aunt put her name on the tenancy agreement.

The aunt has been annoying my sister to the extent that I would name harassment,
    Here are examples...

1.my sister is not allowed to use any personal products with "smells", i.e hairspray.
    2. she is not allowed to use shower products that contain unnatural properties in them.
    3. she is harassed about getting her clothes off the line before 4pm,
    4. her flat mate will enter her room to close blinds because she is paranoid about a neighbour who might see in... (there is a huge tree blocking any view)
    5. she is harassed about dishes not being done at night before bed ( a single mug)
    6. she is told off for waking the sleeping aunt by simply walking down the corridor at night, even though the aunt will be up at 5am making noise.
    7. my sister is given lectures on how to use a cloth (apparently the cloth can only be used with cold water and is to be drapped over the sink after use.) not very hygeneic if you ask me.
    8. my sister has to pay extra money per week because the aunt will only use certain expensive fabric wash.
    9. (this is not harassment but I thought id add it) the aunt wears a mask walking down the street, she does not suffer any medical conditions that would explain this.
    10. She forces religion upon my sister.

After suffering this kind of behaviour for the last 3 months and getting rather fed up my sister very cautiously asked the aunt to back off. The aunt has now asked my sister to move out immediately...

Does my sister have any rights... if so, what are they...

I know for a fact that our tenancy law stipulates that the tenant/s must not cause stress to or harrass another tenant...

    Thank you.
    Shannan new zealand.

Don't worry about your spelling - when I post late at night you should see how I spell! (There is a spell check feature, by the way.)

I'm not in New Zealand so I don't know your laws but my question is - does she want to stay or does she want to go and protect herself from whatever happens next?

    (The Aunt sounds priceless!)
