Celing has big hold no fix in a month
Celing in my living room has falling in and after a year of asking her to fix the roof. She finally patched it, but now it's a month later and she still hasn't fixed the celing. Do I have reason to with hold the rent until fixed, or do I still have to pay her? Keeping in mind that Child Protective Services has deamed it hazordess to our children.

    Thanks

    Hello hillbilly:

Yes, you have to pay rent. Depending on your state law, you MAY be able to pay your rent into an escrow account instead of the landlord until he fixes the problem.

We have copies of ALL the states laws at the top of this forum on a sticky note.
