Can title insurance be purchased on Land or a Lot
We are looking for Land to build on when we retire. We have run across a Seller that offers a Limited Warranty Deed.WE don't know what the Limit is yet (we have not gotten that far) We probably won't build for another 6 yrs.Do we need to have a Title search at the tie of purchase and would that be sufficient to be sure we are getting the property free of liens? Is this even necessary or available when it comes to undeveloped land? Thanks, H Family

It is available and is absolutely necessary. Never buy any type of property without getting a title search first and then buying title insurance.
