    How can I tell the type of fallacy a sentence is?
    What type of fallacy is people who wear nose rings are repulsive to the public.There
    Ought to be a law against wearing nose rings in public.

    Not sure I understand the question. If you're using the nose ring statement as an example, the problem right off the bat may be that there might be those that think there should be such a law...

    Agreed. And, to think that there ought to be a law against people wearing nose rings in public would be presumptuous of thinking that it would be the consensus of most people that it should be illegal.
