    Recurring dream
I have been having dreams about my first love since we broke up in High school. I haven't spoken to him in 6 years. I always wake up broken-hearted and really missing him. It's not every night but every couple of months. I always remember the dreams that I have about this guy. It's driving me crazy. I know I still have feelings for him, but I think I always will. We were together for 2 years. Can anyone help me?

Hi. I am not an expert on dreams, but I had a similar situation happen to me a while back before I was married. I would have dreams about my first love every so often and felt like I still had feelings for him, although it had been years since I had last seen or spoken to him. I took it as a sign that maybe he was the one for me. I spoke to an old friend that still had some contact with him (her brother was his friend) It turns out he was married and had a son. After finding out there was no hope of trying to give it another chance, I guess that was enough to help me get over him. I eventually did and have never dreamt about him again.
Maybe you might want to try contacting him (that is, if he is not committed to someone) and see what happens? It might help you decide once and for all if he is the one for you. You obviously still have feelings for him and it would help put aside any thoughts of "what could have been". Do you know what he is up to these days? It may help you get through this. Just my opinion. Hope I was of some help. ~ Tai
