Yeah I understand... Its that flashing thoughts that prevent you from sleeping.. I hate when that happens. It is so scary... Maybe watch a funny movie, or read something funny... Or perhaps a nitelight?? I sometimes keep all the lights on in my room when this happens to me /:

    I hope it fades gl.

I have been present at the death of many many people, so many of them I was looking in their eyes as the life passed from them. They are "ghosts" of my past and often bother my sleep.
I still at times when I think about it, see the first one the best. Can almost feel the blood on my hands and see the look on their face.

Oh well, yes we all most likely have some memory we would rather not have.

    Psalm 34:7
"The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him,
    and he delivers them."

    Psalm 4:8
"In peace I will lie down and sleep,
    for you alone, Lord,
    make me dwell in safety."

We all have experienced things we would like to forget. Sometimes it is a moment of tragedy.. sometimes it is caused by the guilt and memory of sin. Either way, we have a shield and a strength we can come to to take refuge in, and His name is Jesus. In Him is true peace, and even more accurately a peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Whatever it is that you are thinking about or dwelling upon can be laid at the feet of Jesus... we are not made to, nor are we able, to carry the burdens of this life by ourselves.
