I see back in May, Grumpy had a similar problem. My printer will not print in black! I've changed the ink! I've run the cleaning cycles. I've tried the troubleshoot section. All to no avail. I did get one page that printed in black from my office program right after I reinstalled the printer...

I write software for Windows and need to know what code to send to a Dell Laser Color printer (Model 3100cn) to have it select the multipurpose tray instead of the main tray so it will print envelops from that tray. Anyone know the code to accomplish this?

Will just black cartridge work in printer that usually has black AND color cartridges -- printer work? Don't want to buy both-- might just get new printer
