    Dell AIO 922 printer
    Hey all,

I have a Dell Printer and it won't feed the paper. I have to manually slid one sheet at a time about halfway down it for it to grab and pull in the rest of the way. If I don't it says it is out of paper. If I feed more then one sheet it tried to take all of them.
Also, when it does take the paper in it cocks it to the side some and won't print straight. I can't make the papersize on the feeder and smaller or it is to small.

    Any ideas?

I had a similar problem, and after examining the paper path for foreign objects, discovered that I was inserting the paper stack in TOO far. If I just dropped it in gently, it fed fine.

I don't know if this is what you are seeing, but it sure wasn't obvious to me.

I would replace it if its out of warranty. From your description, it sounds like the rollers are damaged.

One other thing I'd like to throw in as an FYI.

Check the set up of the printer and make sure you printer is set to use the auto sheet feeder. If it is set to "Manual Feed", then it is expecting you to hand feed the printer.

Canon USB Printer Hangs XP Boot on Dell [ 2 Answers ]

My Canon MP 390 USB Printer hangs XP boot on a Dell 8300. Boots fine with printer not hooked-up. Boots with other USB devices. All USB hubs show up in Device Manager. Clean re-load of XP, SP2 and current BIOS don't help. Maybe an IRQ conflict? Or What?
