    Should I wait?
Ok so I am now officially 10 days late for my period, I have had cramps on and off but they are up a little higher than my ovaries and also a lot of gas and bloating. My periods are always right on the day and I haven't had any stress or sickness so I don't understand why my period is this late, other than the fact that my boyfriend and I Have been trying to get pregnant for almost 3 months now. I did have unpretected sex around and during my ovulation date. The question isn't "Could I be pregnant" because if I am having unpretected sex then yes of course there is a possibility but here is the problem. Since the first day of my missed period I have taken 4 hpt and all come back negative. The last one I took was on the 7th day of my missed period(I even used morning urine) and still negative, it has been three days since I last tested. I am having many symptoms of early pregnancy but I don't want it to just be a mind trick because I want to be pregnant, but then I do know that the only way I can know is to test. I am so confused... Should I take another test? Should I wait to see if I get my period next month? I really don't know what to do. So if any one has experienced this or anything like this it would really help to hear your story.

I agree with you about the mind power thing Vlouks. When I really have my heart set on becoming pregnant, I do miss periods, not because I'm pregnant, but probably because I'm hoping so hard that I am, that the period just doesn't arrive.

I think even the minor stress of wanting it is enough to stop or delay the period.

That's not to say that your not pregnant. Some of us take longer than others for the HCG hormone to build up to enough to register a positive reading on the test.

If it were me, I'd make an appointment with my GP and request a blood test. That way you will know 100% one way or the other, if there is any HCG (pregnancy hormone) present in your body at all.

If you are pregnant, the doctor may want to monitor your hcg levels over the next couple of weeks to make sure they're increasing and not decreasing, which is what leads to an early miscarriage.

That's what happened to me a couple of times. I seem to have a hard time carrying pregnancies to term.
