Pregnancy
I've been trying to get pregnant for 1 year and every month my husband I must not be hitting on the right day. So my Question is How many days after your period is the most fertile time? None of the calendars for fertility have been correct.

The best time is approximately 11 - 13 days after the first day of your last period.
How frequent are you having sex? Does he wear boxers or briefs? Stay away from hot tubs?
Have you ever been on birth control? If so, what kind and how long have you been off?
What is your age?
I hate to answer questions, with questions, but this is how I can help you better. Just like a doctor would take a medical history, I need to know these things too.

Usually we have sex2- 3x's a week . He wears briefs and boxers. I was on birth control about 10 years ago for about 4 months. Made me to moody. He is currently taking a all natural pill called Fertilaid. But if he feels horny and I don't I get him off.

I too am trying to become pregnant - and we have been trying for about a year - so GOOD LUCK! I'm sure it won't be long.
My suggestion is to go and get an ovulation kit from the store (you can buy them anywhere - but I've found that Walmart is the cheapest) - and then you'll know for sure.
Everything that I've read says what 'J-9' says - but everyone is different. Month before last I had a textbook cycle - I ovulated on day 14. But for some reason I ovulated on day 19. So - taking the ovulation tests will take some of the guesswork out of it.
Good Luck!

Thanks and Good Luck. We Have tried the ovulation kit. Still nothing. Yeah I've noticed also everything you read is different. But everyone says when you least expect it is when it happens, I just can't help to think about it while having sex. It's been one year this past Friday that we have been trying. I don't understand how the one's that have sex once get the timing right, or even the ones not wanting kids you know it's all in the lords hands so he will make the timing right I guess. Thanks Again

I heard somewhere that a teenager can get pregnant by the wind :) It seems like we spend the first part of our lives doing everything you can NOT to get pregnant - then it seems like when you want one - you can't. The waiting game can be cruel!
If I were you I would still do the ovulation kits - then you know for sure when your most fertile time is. Also, by doing the kits you know for sure that you are ovulating regularly. I personally have trouble with ovulating - and my doctor prescribed some medicine to help me with that. Don't give up - it WILL happen :)

I agree with y'all about teens getting pregnant.
With us it is the stress of trying to get pregnant that prevents pregnancy.
With the kiddos they don't stress over that sort of thing, they just have fun, and Voilą, they are Pregnant!!

If you are trying to get pregnant you should only do it every 48 hours because if you don't his sperm will be too weak to reach your egg.. & afterwards you should lay down 20 to 30 minutes with a pillow under your bottom ohh and of course try getting a home fertility test it will tell you when you're fertile days really are instead of guessing.
Someone likes correcting people hm?

The best thing from a mother of seven is talk to your docter. The can make sure everything is in working order for you and your husband. Then let time take its course. Good luck

It depends on the women as to how regular she is. Things like age, natural cycle and heredity can all affect this. If I were you I would get an ovulation meter. They come over the counter like a birth control test and can let you know when you are ovulating. This is far more accurate than a general calender based on averages.
