    Ovulating pains
My last question related to the change in my period now that I'm trying to get pregnant. I'm not sure if this is normal but I have had my period on the 19th of march which was 2 days late. I have read stuff that says you ovulate 12 - 14 days after your period, which would be around the 30th. It is normally accompanied by period pain but no period & lasts for a day or so. I have been experiencing this pain now from the 30th till today, which is strange. It is not very severe pain but every now & again there are severe cramps. Any advice as to why this is going on? I know I could go to a doctor but I hate going - I am really shy & uncomfortabe about the doctor.

I would suggest you go see a doctor, there is nothing to be shy and uncomfortable about the doctor. Doctors are so used to seeing our "thing" and listening to stories so its surely nothing new and exciting for him.

All I can say is that when I ovulate I know about it. I get these very awkwared strange pains in my tummy, very I have to crouch down or sit then they vanish and re-appear.

But I still suggest you go see a doctor.
Don't be silly esp if you trying for a baby.

Hey Tammy, I have very distinct ovulation pains as well. Dull crampy pains that can be hardly noticeable, to darn right annoying painful.however, it isn't always easy to tell when it is ovulation pain, or gas, or something else. I don't think any woman is comfortable revealing that area to other people, Esp to a man that they don't know, you know? However, like Krs said, the doctors don't think a thing about it. They have been doing it for so long its just like looking at someone's arm or foot or something. All they see is a part of anatomy. And once you get pregnant, they will be seeing that a lot more often, SO just try to relax, go to the doctor if the pains persist, or you just need peace of mind, and it will help prepare you for the weekly doctor checkups at the end of your pregnancy. Good luck hun, and good luck, hope you get your pregnancy wish soon.(I too am trying, for 9 months now.)

Pain with ovulation can be caused by ovarian cysts.Something a DR. can diagnose with ultrasound.
