    For a nurse
I am 6 months pregnant this week and I tried laying on my stomach in bed and now I am wondering since it was uncomfortable or painful.. is there anyway that I could have squished or hurt my baby? I'm always scared that I am going to squish him in there. And also I am scared that I always put a lot of pressure on him doing things and I don't want to hurt him or cause there to be anythignw rong with him. Please help and give me details. Thanks!

You won't squish baby, he is well cushioned and protected. If certain activities cause you to be uncomfortable, either modify them for comfort or sometimes you may have to stop altogether. Activities where you could fall might be best left until after baby is born. Keep in mind as well, that your center of gravity will be different, so you may have to pay extra attention for some activities that require balance.

You won't have harmed your baby, there is plenty of fluid around him for that reason. I wouldn't advise lying on yr stomach again though! if lying on your back or on your side is getting uncomfortable, try positioning your 'bump' on a pillow when you ar lying on your side, you can get special pillows for this which also allow your leg to rest on it as well so your hips keep in alignment.
