Okay I'm not sure if I am posting this in the right spot or not but I was hoping some of you guys could help me with a question that I have about twins. I'm not sure if twins run big in my family or not. My dad has twin sisters and I heard it skips every generation. My dad didn't have twins neither did my sister, so are the chances of me having twins greater? Any answers would be appreciated

If your saying it skips a whole genertaion, then there is a change but it's a greater chance for your kids to have them since your dad was a twin that would skip his kids, then your kids would be next in line. That's my understanding but I am not 100% pos on that you would have to look in your familys past to track down the pattern in your family then you could getting a better range of a chance of you conceving twins.

There is also a difference in identical twins and fraternal twins. Were your father's sisters identical or fraternal?

My dads twin sisters looked identical when they were little but didn't look the same as they grew older, so I don't know. The chances are lower if they were fraternial?

Yes, the chances are lower if they are fraternal. You see identical twins come from one fertilized egg that splits, they share a placenta. Fraternal twins come from two fertilized eggs and each have their own placenta.
