My Fertile Days & My Age
I've been all over the internet trying to figure out my fertile days & am getting conflicting information.

My cycle is anywhere from 25 - 34 days (irregular) but are more often than not around 28/29 days. However, I only get my period for 2 or 3 days. So, do I calculate ovulation based on my average cycle or do I have to account for the short periods?

This past cycle I had sex on days 13, 15 & 19 & did not conceive. I can't remember the month before. I have not conceived & I'm not sure if I'm not calculating wrong, unlucky, or too old - 39.

    Any suggestions?

Thank you! And contratulations! I am looking at some herbs that support the female reproductive system - and we'll see! I've been pregnant twice before but that was many years ago! My second pregnancy was ectopic & my first (daughter) is now sixteen! OMG! What AM I thinking??

The most important thing to remember is to stay relaxed! Your ovulation day should be 12-15 days before the first day of your next period. This is why it is so difficult to predict exactly when you will ovulate. If you have a regular 28 day cycle it should be around 12-15 days after the first day of your last period. When it is longer your o days will be a bit later. I was a bit of a different case. I kept trying around my "o" days to find out that I finally o'd and got pregnant the day before I was supposed to get my period! That's right... 2 weeks late! My doctor suggested that my hubby and I have sex every other day throughout the entire month, just to make sure. I finally stopped worrying about getting pregnant, and bam... I got a big fat positive. Your age may play a factor into it because you stop ovulating as often as you get older. Try charting your temp every morning before getting out of bed. Also try getting an ovulation predictor kit. This may help you to know when you are ovulating.
