Can you still get a period when you're pregnant?
Is it possible to still get a period (very light, lasted 3 days apprx) even if you are pregnant?. Are there some women who are pregnant for like 5 months who do not know about it? Is that possible? Also what are other possible causes of VERY light periods? (increasing each month to be lighter and lightter, and shorter) :( PS I am only 18 and began to get my period at 12 or maybe younger... it has always been fairly regular

It's not unheard of. If you think you might be pregnant you should take a test. Have their been any changes in your diet or exercise? Or have you been stressed? Changes in birth control?

So I'm guessing you are sexually active then since you're asking about pregnancy. And if you're not using birth control, then there is a greater chance of pregnancy, but still, the only way to know is to take a test.

Also, the best way to respond is to use the answer box. That way it shows that you're responded to the thread and shows that it's updated.

Are you trying to conceive? I noticed you said that you don't want to be disappointed again. You are only 18. That's a bit young to be planning a pregnancy. Of course I know the response will be that you're very mature, you're in love, etc. etc.

Take an hpt, use first morning urine (it's more concentrated and therefore more accurate). If you're not pregnant please consider waiting until you're older to have a child.

If you're not going to use condoms, and aren't looking to get pregnant, you should really consider going on birth control. There's tons of different kinds out there. There's the pill, the patch, the shot, the ring. You're lucky that you haven't gotten pregnant yet. But with no birth control, you're very likely to become pregnant.

I think we all think it would be nice to have a child. Sometimes I think it would be nice to have a child and then I remember how much I make and compare it to how much a baby costs. I'll definitely be waiting quite a while for a baby...

For some reason birth control made me extremely sick, and since I get migraines, when I was on birth control I got 100 times more head aches than normal.. ive tried a couple different kinds as well, same effect... they call it... "estrogen sensitive"..

Have you talked to your doctor about other options? Not every birth control has estrogen.
what birth control can be used if you're sensitive to estrogen? - Google Search
There's some other types to look at and talk to your doctor with. You could at least use spermicide and a diaphragm, better than nothing at all. An unplanned pregnancy sure won't help your migraines.
