    Can I be pregnant?
My period is 2-3 weeks late. I took a home pregnancy test 1 week ago that was negative. I took another home test yesterday that was also negative.

    Hi timnamy1... welcome to AMHD,

Since you posted in this section, I will guess that you are a teen? If so, periods can be off now and then, especially in the teen years.

Wait and see what happens when you would expect your next period. If it still doesn't show, try another pregnancy test. Be sure that you follow the directions carefully to ensure accuracy.

It is important to remember that if you are going to continue to engage in sex, you need to be prepared for the possibility of an unplanned pregnancy. In order to do that, you will need to make sure that you are financially, physically, and emotionally ready for the job. If you know that you wouldn't be at this stage of your life, best to refrain from having sex until you are.

At the very least, be sure that you and your partner are both using birth control every time to lessen the chances.
