    Bleeding and cramps! :(
I'm only about 5 weeks along and this morning at about 4am I was experiencing cramping and nausea so I went to the restroom. While I was using the potty I began to bleed and the cramping got a little worse. The blood looks like normal period blood and there are no clots... it is about 9am now and I am still bleeding and cramping a little. Yes, I'm fixing to call the doc but I wanted to vent and hear from you guys first! Thanks for your opinions :(

Yes, they should get you in immediately and do an ultrasound. I had this at around 6 weeks, and my baby is fine... but you can never be too sure.

Yes, well, 5 weeks 6 days, I called because I had cramping from the night before and the bleeding started that morning. They told me to come right in. They immediately gave me a vaginal ultrsound and found the heartbeat, that was all that mattered to me.. They told me sometimes it happens for no reason. It just comes and then goes away without a trace, they never found out why. I haven't had a problem since. She said as long as there is no clots or gray matter I should be fine, but to call if it happened again.

First of all, I want to thank all of you for you support. I'm very unclear about what to do now; my doctor has not been very supportive or helpful. The day I went in the doctor did a blood test and told me that my hcg levels were 10 which is very low so she told me I was miscarrying. I was supposed to go in for another blood test to make sure my levels have not risen but I didn't because all of my pregnancy symptoms are gone and I didn't feel the need to go through the torture of taking blood, I'm just so stressed. My doctor never mentioned anything about having to be "cleaned out" or having a d/c. I'm just clueless... please help!

At six weeks the baby is typically not large enough to need a d&c. Your body will probably be able to deal with it on it's own. And just on a personal not. I think that you need a new dr. It doesn't sound as if this one is right for you. Hugs hun. Just remember that we've all pretty much cried over our keyboards while venting or asking on here. We'll be here for you as long as you let us.

    Myth:
You are right, I will be switching doctors the next time around! This site has really helped me through this; it's just really great to be able to hear from and relate to other women who know about and have gone through the same things. It's very helpful and therapeutic. My husband and I are going to wait until my next normal cycle to try again but this time we aren't going to do the whole temperature taking, ovulation testing thing... we are just going to take it easy and if it happens it happens and if it doesn't, we will keep on trying. I just still feel really sad about the loss because I was so excited and I had started a pregnancy journal and it was all gone so fast... very depressing!

I know how you feel. 3 years ago at 12 week appointment, I got a congrats from my doctor for making it to the 2nd trimester, and the whole talk of how the chances of miscarriage drop to a very small chance... the next week, I miscarried. It's heart wrenching no matter how far along you are. Now, I am 8 months pregnant with a little boy, and couldn't be happier. Now, even 3 years later, I think of the baby that could have been. But, I do know that everything happens for a reason. That was really hard to hear back then, as I'm sure it is hard to hear now for you. It will get better. Best of luck to you.
