Is my 6 month eating right
My 6 month old has reflux and I was told to cut his bottle intake down per sitting.. now he eats 3 tbsp of cereal and a jar of fruit for breakfast along with a 4 ounce bottle... for lunch he has half veggies and half a fruit jar with a 5 ounce bottle... and dinner he eats a jar of fruit and a jar of veggies along with a 4 ounce bottle... and 2-3 6 ounce bottles through out the day and some days a 4 ounce bottle of juice.. does this sound right

I'm not an expert on diet, but you said you are feeding him veggies and that is a good thing. I would suggest making sure you feed him a variety of vegetables so he gets many vitamins and minerals, and also fiber. Dark green vegetables are protein sources, Squash and carrots are good because they are high in beta carotene and many vitamins.

When introducing new foods make sure that you introduce ONLY 1 a week. If there are any allergies, this will help pinpoint which food baby is allergic to easier. I don't particularly care to introduce fruits this young as they are sweeter and babies have a tendency to begin to turn down meats and veggies if they get too many fruits. Juice is not necessary yet, and may add to the reflux problem depending on the cause.
Now, what you are doing sounds about right. Make sure you feed him (his bottles primarily) in an upright position, do not lay him down for at LEAST 15 - 20 minutes after eating.

If that is the case, you are being a very good mom. How is the reflux since you started him on semi-solids? Is it getting better or worse?

My son suffered from reflux. We found if you mixed a bit of cereal in with his bottle as well, it helped just a tip from someone who was there. My son suffered from this from the day his was born to one day before his first birthday when it just "disappeared".. literally... it was just gone, and we never saw it again. Lol. Good luck.

He's been the same since the solids we had to change his formula a few times and now he is on good start natural cultures and he is doing pretty good on it... no matter if he drinks 2 oz or 8 oz it still comes up so I guess we will just have to wait till he outgrows it
